Creative crafts workshop in Tauragnai, Lithuania
2015, July 14

A croud of people was attracted by one of the last workshops organised by Lithuanian project partners. After talking with the Utena region labor exchange about their villingness to invite young unemployed people to participate in the workshop there was just only thing to decide – where and when?

Luckilly there was a big eveng going on in the Tauragnai village as a fest of 760th village anniversary and the artist Jurgita Jakubauskaitė managed to get a possibility to give a workshop there.

The afternoon workshop was divided into two parts – during the first part participants were creating mobile phone cases from filc and after they were decorated by embroidering or applets.
During the secont part the group was creating small jewellery, keyrings and other tiny crafts from felt. There was a really big interest by all the people who came there on purpose after seeing invitations and poster, but also passangers who were just walking around in the fest were atracted by interesting craft making workshop. Artist Jurgita was amazed that even middle aged men came, sat down and tried to learn and make crafts.
